Savvy property investors should have the hugely popular and vibrant town of Fuengirola at the top of their property wish list.
The new €71 million marina that is going to transform the town and there are some wonderful new developments in and around the beach town.
Fuengirola is at the end of the trainline from Malaga. The train stops at popular beach and tourist destinations along the coast, including Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Carvajal and Torreblanca. The airport is also just 25 minutes and just over three euros on the train. There are also buses from Fuengirola to the mountain village of Mijas Pueblo and to the stunning and trendy town of Marbella. Fuengirola is such a well-connected town that visitors don´t need to hire a car if they don´t want to.
The beaches stretch for more than four miles from Carvajal to Fuengirola Castle. Chirringuitos (beach side restaurants) line the esplanade. They serve locally caught fish, which is cooked on traditional Costa del Sol bbqs set up in fishing boats outside the main restaurants. Diners can sit on the terrace and look out to sea and watch the sun set as they enjoy their meals. Or if you visit during the day, have your lunch served to your sunbed.
Just a couple of streets back from the beach, you will find a labyrinth of narrow Spanish streets with tapas bars and restaurants at every turn. If you haven´t experienced the fantastic vibe of Plaza Chinorros, then head down there for a drink or tapas and enjoy watching the world go by.
There is one development in particular that is like nothing else we have ever seen in Fuengirola – an extraordinary residential complex of 116 luxury apartments just two minutes from the beach. These sorts of developments are unheard of as there is just no space in the town centre for building projects.
This stunning new project is due to start any day, bringing a new level of luxury and modern town centre living to Fuengirola. There are one, two and three bedroom modern and elegantly designed properties.
The apartments will be full of natural light with huge terraces and private gardens to allow residents the ultimate Mediterranean lifestyle.
All apartments will have clean lines, kitchens fully fitted with Neff appliances and Silestone worktops, built-in cabinets, full bathrooms with Gunni & Trentino flooring and tiling.
There will be communal spaces with a gym, spa and cinema room. Residents can enjoy a sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, whirlpool bath, relaxation zone and heated pool. There is also a co-working space, so people who are relcoating to Spain or those who want to be able to work from their new homes in Spain when they are visiting will be able to do so easily.
The prices for these apartments range from €313,000 to €1.187 million – and there is only one penthouse left.
